- SPECIAL NOTICE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs of an Infinity GeneXpert system located at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R Street, Detroit, Michigan, 48201. NAICS Code 811219, size standard $22.0 million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cepheid (904 Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089), for this procurement due to the proprietary nature of the hardware, software, and firmware of this system. The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, equipment, materials, supervision, necessary to service the Infinity GeneXpert system located at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan, for the period of October 1, 2020 September 30, 2021 in strict accordance with the statement of work, all schedules, and terms and conditions of the resultant contract. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 12pm Eastern time on September 15, 2020.
