- 36C24620Q0985 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for the procurement of Automated Dispensing Cabinets for the W.G. Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center with Omnicell, Inc. in accordance with 41 U.S.C. §3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B). This is not a request for competitive offers, and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these items are highly specialized, are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost, and no other type of items will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of 17 September 2020 to TrillaMed, LLC.; 30100 Telegraph Road, Suite 366, Bingham Farms, MI 48025. DUNS: 82-81-26321. TrillaMed has an FSS Contract vehicle (36F79720D0041) that will be utilized for this procurement. This is a Brand-Name Only requirement for the Triton 72 Ultrasonic Cleaning System for the Sterile Processing Service (SPS) at the Charles George VAMC. The Triton 72 is required due to VHA Directive 1116(2), which states any instrument with a lumen must be cleaned and flushed by a cleaner that has ultrasonic capability. Our facility is gear up for the possibility of taking on procedures that require the use of DaVinci instruments. The Triton Sonic Washer is the only one on the market that can also clean DaVinci (robotic) Instruments, with a capacity for 40 Da Vinci robotic instruments per cycle. This acquisition consists of the purchase of the Triton 72 Ultrasonic Cleaning System (and accessories), Triton 72 UCS Verify Software, and installation. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis.
