Update:� Answers to questions. Contractor question: Can I offer an ""equal"" Nitrogen Generator, or is this a Brand Name solicitation only? Government Answer: This is a Brand Name or Equal solicitation.� All offers may be submitted brand name or equal. Clarification: This is a small business set aside.� Only offers from small businesses� who are small under the NAICS 334516 will be considered. Original revised synopsis, revision is in bold: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,� as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-07, Effective 08-31-2020. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516, Laboratory Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. � This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business.� Responses are due by 10:00 a.m., September 18, 2020.� Questions may be submitted by email to the Contract Specialist (Lisa.Schaupp@nih.gov) through September 10, 2020 by 9:00 a.m. E.T.� Answers will be posted by 5:00 p.m. E.T. September 10, 2020. The National Institute of Health, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, is seeking to acquire a new Nitrogen Generator to replace an older and obsolete N2 generator that is used on a daily basis to analyze clinical research patient samples.� The N2 generator is an essential bioanalytical instrument in the CPRU lab which facilitates the progress of all human biological sample analyses for ongoing clinical research studies being conducted in collaboration with NIAID, NIDDK, NHGRI, NCI, and NICHD.� This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Brand Name or Equal. �Please see the Statement of Work for details of the requirement.
