Description
Sources Sought for AFTC/PZIEB The Directorate of Contracting�s Contracting Flight Support Section (AFTC/PZIEB) at the Air Force Test Center at Edwards AFB, CA is conducting preliminary planning market research in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to obtain information from potential eligible and interested contractors for the removal and replacement of the southside turnstile, controls and fencing near Building 1022A located on Edwards AFB, CA. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a small business size standard of $16,500,000. The PSC code is Z2AA. Description of the requirement is as follows: The work consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, work plan, engineering, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all operations to remove and replace turnstiles, controls, fencing as detailed in the SOW. Provide barricades in construction area to prevent hazardous conditions. Repair/replace any items damaged by contractor employees and/or any sub-contractors while working on this project. Please see attached SOW but brief overview is: 1. Remove and dispose of the existing turnstile. 2. Install new galvanized steel turnstile with fan blower to match existing width and height of the existing turnstiles located at B1020 and B1030 3. Saw cut concrete/asphalt and replace as needed for removal and installation of new turnstile. Ensure a smooth transition between concrete and asphalt on entrance and exit. 4. Install (as required) new barb and razor wire above new turnstile (match existing). 5. Remove and replace Remote Reader Module with new and ensure new module is compatible with security panel in Guard House. 6. Install fan blower in Remote Reader Module. 7. Remove and replace light fixture with new (exterior, weather proof) that meets base energy efficiency standards. 8. Remove and replace inbound side keypad/magnetic reader and ensure new reader is compatible with the existing system. 9. Remove and dispose of the existing card reader pedestals. 10. Install new card reader pedestals. 11. Install blue beacon with activation device at Guard House on entrance and exit turnstile. 12. Install electrical wiring, conduit, and electrical circuit and distribution panel as needed for the installation of the beacon. 13. Ensure all electrical connections are restored and turnstile operates correctly prior to construction. AFTC/PZIEB requests that responsible, capable, and interested vendors submit a response to this sources sought with the information below: Company name, CAGE code �and DUNS Number and must show that they can meet the requirements listed above. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This is a request for information/sources sought announcement ONLY and is for planning purposes only. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals/quotes; no contract will be awarded from this notice and this notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of any information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged. Responses will assist the Government in determining whether to set-aside/restrict competition in some way or solicit offers from all responsible sources. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date. All interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the response to this notice.
