- **UPDATE EVENT RESCHEDULED** As a follow on to the July 2020 Call to Industry regarding Next Generation Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Challenges, the Director, NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC), RDML Fritzemeier, would like to announce an Industry Day for the NEC, scheduled for October 14, 2020. It will be hosted in multiple formats, combining in-person and virtual venues.� ***This event will be conducted at the SECRET classification level.� Attendees will be required to submit Visitor Access Requests (VARs) through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). Locations and virtual venue information, along with VAR/JPAS requirements, will be sent to registered/verified attendees at a later date.� NEC leadership will address Industry and Academia regarding the future of the NEC, its challenges, as well as short-term and long-term goals. Topics for Discussion: Agenda, once approved, will be sent via email to all registered attendees prior to event. Date and Start time: October 14, 2020, 1100 - 1400 EST. Location: Physical Locations: TBD Secure Video Teleconference (SVTC) link and phone number will be sent to all registered attendees prior to event. Clearance: SECRET Registration: Please note, if you were a confirmed registered attendee for the previous event in July, there is no need to complete another registration form, just email the Point of Contact (POC) below to verify attendance to this event � VARs submitted through JPAS will still be required for every participant. It will be hosted via Microsoft Teams. With the previously scheduled Industry Day postponed in March due to COVID-19, this will be an abbreviated session held at the Unclass level where NEC leadership will address Industry and Academia regarding the future of the NEC, its challenges, as well as short-term and long-term goals. Topics for Discussion: Agenda, once approved, will be sent via email to all registered attendees prior to event. Date and Start time: July 22, 2020, 1400 - 1630 ET. Location: Microsoft Teams link and phone number will be sent to all registered attendees prior to event. Clearance: This event is Unclass, no clearance passing required. Acknowledging more and more of our partners are releasing restrictions to travel and conference participation, the NEC is going to err on the side of caution and will be postponing our NEC Industry day that was scheduled for Thursday, March 12th 2020. We will be proactively reserving several dates in the next 4 - 12 weeks as possible rescheduling options and will continue to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and make a final decision appropriately. The new date will be communicated as soon as it's been finalized. It will be hosted at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, in Laurel Maryland (MD).� It is intended that Industry Day will become a recurring event, based on Industry�s participation and feedback. The purpose of this event is for NEC leadership to address Industry and Academia (Industry includes both large and small businesses; Academia includes all Government-sponsored and private institutes of higher learning) regarding the future of the NEC, its challenges, as well as short-term and long-term goals.
