Rundle Contracting Officer Page 3 of 3 RFQ: 36C24220Q1132 Amendment: 0001 Questions: There is no membership for CSIA, can we be a member of the Chimney Sweep Guild and NADCA. Being a member of the Chimney Sweep Guild and getting the Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician (C-DET) through CSIA is appropriate. CSIA provides the training and testing for technicians to receive the CSIA credentials as a certified exhaust technician (C-DET) Licensing- Does this mean we need a license to do work in the state of New Jersey. We have the New Jersey Public Works Certificate? A specific license will not be required to work in NJ as it pertains to this requirement, however if a specific permit is required, it would be the responsibility of the contractor to acquire. The work of cleaning the dryer vents will not require a specific permit as the dryer vents are already in place. Is a report required for each cleaning or just once a year? Reports will be required for each cleaning, and for each site. Is a site visit required for everyone to bid the project? A site visit is not required to submit a quote. Does all debris have to be collected for the entire project? Does the meet CSG requirements? This seems to be more of a NADCA requirement? Debris collected from the cleaning must be removed and is the responsibility of the awarded contractor to properly dispose of IAW local, state and federal guidelines. Inspection and Cleanliness Test-Do the cleanliness test similar to the NADCA Cleanliness test? Please advise? Yes, but must meet any specific cleaning requirements by CSIA specific to dryer exhaust cleaning. Do this project require prevailing wages? Yes, please see attached wage determinations for each site provided within the solicitation. 8)  This contract is requiring the C-Det certified contractor and to be cleaned using those guidelines and procedures only? Does the certified tech need to be onsite for the cleaning? The C-DET technician should be on-site at minimum upon completion of each site cleaning to inspect the work completed if the work was not performed by the technician themselves, technician will sign off of all reports submitted.
