- RI - SACHUEST POINT NWR REHAB WATER WELL Synopsis: Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge is one of five national wildlife refuges in Rhode Island. Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge was established for development, management, advancement, conservation and protection of fish and wildlife resources, for incidental wildlife oriented recreation and for conservation of endangered and threatened species. The Refuge totals 242 acres that provide an important stopover and wintering area for migratory birds. The Sachuest Point NWR is located at 769 Sachuest Point Road, Middletown, Rhode Island, 02842. PROJECT SCOPE: This is a construction project which requires an inspection and rehabilitation to an existing drinking water well system. Also, a new well and water pressure tank is to be installed. The work shall include providing all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, to rehabilitate the existing water well, install a water pressure tank, design and install a new water well to supplement the existing well, and provide all other required system repairs. All work shall be in compliance with local, state and federal code requirements. OFFER PERIOD: The Request For Quotation (RFQ) is scheduled for release on or about 08 October 2020. The offers will be due on or about 09 November 2020. The anticipated award date is on or about 13 November 2020. OFFER PROCEDURES: The acquisition will be issued as a small business set-aside, Request For Quotation (RFQ) through SAM FBO (beta.sam.gov). The Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) contracting method will be used to evaluate offers. This acquisition will result in a single fixed price construction contract. Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible offeror who is responsive to the solicitation. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code for this project is 238990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to participate in this requirement. The SAM can be found at https://www.sam.gov. Payments will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer using the data within the SAM registration database.
