Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for SPECT/CT Site Support Preparation Project at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (JJP-VA) in Bronx, New York. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will provide site support for the renovation of the existing SPECT CT suite located in Area 2A-328, Building 100. This (approximately 600 sq. ft) Design/Build to include (but not limited to) all construction (Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) of a new service suite as well as the renovating existing control room and adjacent storage areas-- to accommodate the installation of a SIEMENS Symbia Intevo 6 SPECT-CT System Fireproofing and HVAC upgrades. Work also includes updating the appearance of the Service Center to the Planetree environment to include new lighting system, ceiling system, new data and communication hook ups/outlets, wall and floor finishes, and new door, frame and locking system. New room temperature control system to control the existing Johnson Controls MetaSys building management monitoring and control computer system. It is important that construction phases allow the user services to maintain operations during construction in the surrounding areas. More information, to include specifications and drawings, will be available when the solicitation is issued. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about October 5, 2020. The period of performance is approximately 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
