Description
Notice of Intent: The USDA, ARS, NEA intends to award a sole source procurement to Nanion Technologies Inc. 1 Naylon Place Livingston, NJ, 07039 as they are the sole source for these types of products/services pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(l ) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The award will be to purchase the following product/services: USDA-ARS, Ithaca, NY has a need for Port-a-Patch automated patch clamp benchtop device. �The minimum specifications are: (1) Nanion Perfusion Panel 8-channel magnetic valvecontrol panel, needed for Nanion's internal or external perfusion systems, incl. stand with syringe holder; (1) Temperature controlled external perfusion for Port-a-Patch (200) NPC-1 patch clamp chips 2-3,5 MOhm Minimum order 100 chips. (200) NPC-1 patch clamp chips 3-5 MOhm Minimum order 100 chips (1) Upgrade of Port-a-Patch housing - compatible to the TC Flow Chamber (1) Port-a-Patch Installation Support Installation support for 1 -2 day optimizing protocols and in-house assays (1) Packaging and Transport - Port-a-Patch This value includes Transport and Insurance (Incoterm CIP) and applies for a single shipment Nanion Technologies is the sole manufacturer of the Port-a-Patch and to our knowledge that satisfies all the requisite qualifications. This system is the only patch clamp system that is compatible with our existing HEKA amplification system. The technology incorporated in the Port-a-Patch system offered by Nanion Technologies, uses planar, microstructure borosilicate glass chips for the patch clamping of cells, unique to this system. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order on or about September 28 ,2020, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This Notice of lntent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received by 2:00 PM eastern time, September 25, 2020. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
