- Description
- A-10 Flap Track Assembly, Inboard, RH NSN: 1560010631116FJ. Completion of the specified pre-contract award qualification requirements are necessary to assure the government that the offeror is capable of producing the Flap Track Assembly � INBD (B.L. 37.68) in compliance with the applicable technical specification/data within the schedule and economic constraints of our contracts. There are significant technical and schedule risks which can only be minimized by a completion of the requirements prior to contract award. Award will not be delayed for contactor pre-contract award qualification. Component requires inspection and acceptance at source because the following criteria as required in AFMCI 23-102: - Significant Technical Requirements to ensure configuration baseline. - Critical production features to ensure Safety of Flight aspects of this component; this component is classified as a Fatigue and Fracture Critical Part, Class 1B (IAW SM160M1000) and is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). - Contract is awarded to manufacturer of this item. Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) will provide the necessary technical and administrative oversight to ensure the requirements in section 7 and the Technical Data Package (TDP) provided by the contract are complied with. Specific aircraft components perform critical functions and are essential for mission success. Therefore, the following characteristics should be considered in the evaluation by DCMA: - Material Certifications and use of appropriate raw materials, - Non-destructive inspections (ultrasonic, penetrant, magnetic particle) to support processing in the manufacture of critical aircraft components and assemblies, - Corrosion inhibiting applications, - Dimensional requirements to meet requirements of fit-form-function of critical aircraft components and assemblies to include surface finish and mismatch requirements, - Peening operations. The TDP provides the specific requirements for 'accept/reject' criteria that support the areas identified above.
