- Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, intends to award a sole source contract under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available, to Trumpf, Inc. for preventive and remedial maintenance to its Trumatic Laser Cutter located at Portsmouth Naval Shipard, Kittery, ME. The metal cutting equipment is proprietary equipment manufactured by Trumpf, Inc., and as such, they are the only source that can provide the specialized software�required. This action will result in a firm fixed price contract. The period of performance will commence on or about September 30, 2020 for a period of three years if all options are exercised. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310 - Office machine repair and maintenance services with a size standard of $8 million. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals.
