- Page 3 of 3 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs New England Healthcare System (VISN 1) is seeking information from local vendors capable of providing assembly, repairs, storage and delivery of electric/power (to include charger) and manual wheelchairs, scooters, hospital and home care electric beds (including side rails and trapeze assembly) and patient lifts. Storage and delivery of foam, innerspring, and specialty mattresses (dry, gel, water, air, powered press and noon-powered press reducing) mattresses also required. Responses to this Request for Information can be for either the wheelchairs and scooters, the beds and mattresses, or the patient lifts, or a combination of or all. Please verify for which you are responding. The states incorporated in the VISN include VT, NH, ME, MA, RI and CT, and may also include patients that may live across the state border in New York. This announcement is seeking information from industry, which will be used for preliminary planning purposes. No quotes are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry, namely Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) in accordance with the requirements of Public Law 109-461. However, all capable businesses are encouraged to respond. The NAICS Code is 811490 and the size standard is $8 Million. This notice is published to determine sources capable of providing the services identified above. Those companies capable should respond via email to Judith.Ruggiero@va.gov; subject line to read: Request for Information 36C24121Q0013 and provide the following information: (1) name of company; (2) DUNS Number; (3) POC with phone number and email address; (4) socio-economic status (very important); and (5) brief capability statement to include documentation regarding the ability to provide the services stated in this notice (specify wheelchairs/scooters and/or beds and mattresses and/or patient lifts or any combination) and identify which states could be covered immediately. Include information regarding storage availability. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses must be verified in the VA s VetBIz Vendor Information Portal at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/. Respondents must have a valid registration in www.SAM.gov. A DUNS number MUST also be provided for verification purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION REQUEST. This request is for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation. Please be advised the Government will not pay any costs for responses and information submitted. Firms responding to this request for information are encouraged to provide all the information requested. The response date is close of business on Friday, October 16, 2020.
