Description
This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for informational and planning purposes only. NAVSUP WSS is seeking information from the industry to assist with acquisition planning for a five year multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. There has been an increase in demand for surface shaft repairs and procurements for various US. Navy ship classes identified below: DDG 51 Intermediate and Stern Tube Shafts LPD Intermediate and Stern Tube Shafts LSD Intermediate Shaft LHDs/LHAs Intermediate, Propeller and Stern Tube Shafts The anticipated NAICS Code for these requirements is 336611� Turbine and Turbine Generator Set Units Manufacturing and the Size Standard is 1,250 employees. The anticipated contract value is $280M. The demand schedule is shown on Attachment �1�. Any company interested in shaft repairs, please see Attachment �2� Quality Matrix. Any company interested in shaft manufacturing, please see Attachment �3� Quality Matrix. NAVSUP WSS is seeking the following information: Industry base including prime and subcontractors (name, address, business size standard) Repair turnaround times Manufacturing lead times Set aside status Capacity information Incentives to expedite delivery Price validity period for repairs and spares. The government intends to award a 5 year IDIQ. Any resultant solicitation will be released to Contract Opportunities via beta.SAM.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Responses are requested no later than 27 Oct 2020 at 1300 EST.� Responses shall be submitted via e-mail only to Michael Lindgren at Michael.lindgren1@navy.mil and Lea DuBeck at lea.dubeck1@navy.mil.
