- The U.S. Army Contracting Command � New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command � (CCDC AC), Pyrotechnics Division at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, has a requirement for an Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) System compatible with its Jeol Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) as the EDS System will be installed within the SEM tool. EDS Systems use x-ray detectors and corresponding software to identify chemical compositions of materials. This potential requirement would include all the associated equipment, installation, training, and a one year warranty..� The recommended system must be compatible with a Jeol SEM.� The system must include a Silicon Drift Detector that provides low energy performance, a cooling system, Ethernet communication to allow for remote control and troubleshooting of the detector, a standard manual slide and a sensor area of 30 mm^2, Beam Control and Data Acquisition Package to provide digital control of the electron microscope beam and EDS software and Particle Analysis Software which allows for EDS data collection, analysis, mapping and reporting. The supplier must have a product that meets these requirements, along with an available training package for users to learn about the equipment. BACKGROUND: � The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. The Product Service Code is 6650 Optical Instruments. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. � SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements of the provision, installation and training of an EDS System.� Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above.� In addition, please provide the your firm�s name and address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, CAGE Code and DUNS number, and size of business (i.e. large, small, disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc.). Please identify your major partners or suppliers. Identify the location which will provide support for the installation and training of the equipment. Please indicate the number of employees at this location and the number of locations they currently support.� This is a market survey for information only, and shall not be construed as a request for a proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government.� The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. � All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government by October 26, 2020 at 3:00 pm EST.
