- Contractor shall provide all equipment, material, labor, and supervision, to provide and install salt spreader controls on existing 2019, HV507 SFA, International truck, located at the Tomah VA Medical Center, according to the following statement of work. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/WORK STATEMENT Provide and install new hydraulic circuit on existing truck to support existing Salt Dogg road salt spreader system. One hydraulic circuit shall be installed to operate the salt spreaders conveyor and one hydraulic circuit shall be installed to operate the salt spreaders salt spinner. Both sets of hydraulic lines shall terminate at the trucks hydraulic pump or valve bank, depending on the new systems configuration and at the salt spreader. Hydraulic line terminations at the salt spreader location shall be with hydraulic quick couplers. Hydraulic lines and quick couplers shall be sized correctly for attachment to the existing Salt Dogg salt spreader connections. Provide and install one (1) new, stand alone, electronic/hydraulic salt spreader control system. Control system shall control both the salt spreaders conveyor and salt spinner. Salt spreader in-cab user control box shall be mounted in a location that is both within reach and convenient to the truck operator. All electrical and hydraulic lines shall be secured to the salt truck in a manner that prevents wear, entanglement and which provides protection of the lines from natural forces generated during salt truck operation. All electrical and hydraulic connections shall be made in a secure fashion to prevent loosening or accidental disconnection. All electrical connections that are exposed to the outdoor elements shall be weatherproof to prevent corrosion and failure Existing International truck will be driven to and from Contractors installation location by Tomah VA Medical Center s Roads and Grounds staff. Any changes to this SOW shall be authorized and approved only through written modification of this contract from the CO (Contracting Officer) in coordination with the COR (Contracting Officers Representative). Costs incurred by the contractor through the actions of parties other than the Contracting Officer shall be borne by the contractor. Notwithstanding, the Contractor shall perform no additional work without the prior written authorization of the Contracting Officer. Any additional work, which may be performed by the Contractor without this approval, will be performed by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Government. Within fourteen (14) days of the award of this contract, the Contractor and the Government shall agree upon a date for work to take place. SERVICE HOURS AND FEDERAL HOLIDAYS Normal hours of coverage for Tomah VA Medical Center staff are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, excluding holidays. All contract work shall be on a date and time mutually agreed upon between the Contractor and the COR. Federal Holidays observed by the VAMC are: New Years Day Labor Day Martin Luther King Day Columbus Day Presidents Day Veterans Day Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day Independence Day Christmas Day If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address if applicable, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort and documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, SOLE SOURCED OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
