Description

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, 1400 Farragut Avenue intends to solicit for a multiple award, firm fixed-price supply type contract for Uncovered�Tungsten Shielding�s in support of PSNS Code 2310 NEPD Reactor Engineering Division. This requirement is for fabrication of uncovered tungsten shielding from certified detrimental� commercial materials and specifications�per PSNS Code 2310 NEPD�Reactor Engineering Division DWG 2301-3914 Rev-A. 12� x 36� tungsten polymer sheets rated to 450oF, Part Number LE-450-PSNS17-FE1. This specialty tungsten shielding meets the high temperature and space constraint that are required for a specific piping run on board ships�to minimize personnel exposure in accordance with NAVSEA 389-0288.The primary purpose of this procurement action is to issue a Multiple Award Contract (MAC) for Manufacturers (Vendors) to fabricate�and establish a Qualified Manufacturer List (QML) for the Uncovered Tungsten�Shielding. This requirement is intended to be negotiated on an unrestricted basis as a Commercial item procurement in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13 resulting in a multiple award of a Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract with fob destination to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
