Description
An Industry Day for the Construction of a Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Louisville, KY will be held on 28 October 2020 at 1:00PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Industry Day will be held both in-person and virtually.� The presentation slides and ProjNet Instructions (for questions) will be posted after the conclusion of the industry day. Contractors planning to attend the event are asked to complete the Pre-registration Form attached to this notice, and return a copy to Michael Hutchens at Michael.D.Hutchens@usace.army.mil.� A list of in-person / virtual attendees and interested firms, along with questions and responses from Projnet, will be posted to this notice within two weeks following the Industry Day.� ***NOTE: The Pre-Registration deadline for this Industry Day is 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) on Friday, 23 October 2020. Please ensure to submit all Pre-Registration forms to the POC identified within this posting to ensure attendance of the Industry Day*** IN-PERSON ATTENDEES: ***Due to COVID-19 safety requirements, there is a limit of in-person attendees to 2 individuals�per firm. Logistical information related to in-person attendance will be provided to those attendees that submit completed registration forms.� The in-person meeting will be held in the Louisville, KY area at a space containing limited capacity due to the facility�s COVID protocols.� Due to safety protocols, space and time for networking may not be allowed during the industry day meeting.*** In the interest of public safety, registered participants will be asked to follow safety protocols. Temperature screenings will be conducted at the door for all participants prior to admittance. Following the recommended CDC guidance, participants must maintain 6-foot physical distancing and wear a mask in the venue for the entirety of the event. The industry day will begin promptly at 1:00PM EST on 28 October 2020. In-person attendees should arrive no later than fifteen (15) minutes prior to the meeting for registration and temperature screenings. VIRTUAL ATTENDEES: To attend the meeting please go to https://usace1.webex.com/meet/michael.d.hutchens and type in your name and email address when prompted. You will also need to have the Webex application call you using the instructions below. Click the ""Call Me"" button and input phone number which will be called with the audio component of the meeting. Industry day will begin promptly at 1:00PM EST on 28 October 2020. The Webex application will open- up for participants to log in at 12:30PM EST. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the construction of a new medical center campus to replace aging, unserviceable facilities at the Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville, KY.� The existing medical center campus is constrained by physical topography and existing infrastructure that cannot be improved without significant adverse impact to ongoing delivery of healthcare and which cannot support delivery of modern healthcare due to physical limitations of the existing facility layout and construction.� The project will relocate medical facility operations to an approximately 34 acre, previously undeveloped, parcel of land which will accommodate the design and construction of a new 104 bed hospital, new structured parking for approximately 2,600 cars, associated campus infrastructure including underground utilities, a new central utility plant, a new laundry facility, roadways, sidewalks, perimeter fencing, landscaping, and other site improvements. The Government anticipates releasing the solicitation later in the first quarter of FY21. Details regarding the Optional Site Visit will be included in the solicitation. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation when it is posted to http://beta.SAM.gov. SOLICITATION WEBSITE: The official solicitation, when posted, will be available free of charge by electronic posting only and may be found at Beta.SAM website, http://beta.SAM.gov.� Paper copies of the solicitations will not be issued.� Information regarding the issuance of the project solicitation and proposal submission will be found in the Presolicitation Notice and solicitation documents, when issued, at Beta.SAM. REGISTRATIONS: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the following database: System for Award Management (SAM): Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the SAM database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for a Government contract award. If the Offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity shall have valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror
