Page 1 of 1 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE REQUIREMENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, Ralph H Johnson VAMC, NCO 7 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source reasonably available for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 339112. The vendor will be ITAMAR MEDICAL, 3290 Cumberland Club Dr Ste 100, Atlanta, GA 30339. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: The Respiratory Department requires this device to assist with the challenges of caring for patient s due to COVID-19 pandemic. The WatchPAT device is a non-invasive home care device for use with patients suspected to have sleep related breathing disorders. The WP200U is a diagnostic aid for the detection of sleep related breathing disorders, sleep staging (Rapid Eye Movement (REM) Sleep, Light Sleep, Deep Sleep and Wake), snoring level and body position. The WP200U generates a peripheral arterial tonometry (""PAT"") Respiratory Disturbance Index (""PRDI""), Apnea-Hypopnea index (""PAHI""), Central Apnea-Hypopnea index (""PAHIc""), PAT sleep staging identification (PSTAGES) and optional snoring level and body position discrete states from an external integrated snoring and body position sensor. Providing patients with this service allows Veterans to complete their sleep studies from the safety of their homes. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 11/9/2020-09/30/2021 It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice is not a solicitation or a request for competitive quotes request for offers. No solicitation package is available. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than November 2, 2020 at 1 p.m. EST. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
