Description

�**THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR REFERENCE LIBRARIAN AND LIBRARY TECHNICIAN** The International Development Finance Corporation is the U.S. Government's Development Finance Institution. DFC's mission is to provide loans, guaranties, political risk insurance, and investment funds to assist American businesses expand into emerging markets. This is a notice issued as required by FAR 5.203. DFC intends to award this sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)I. DFC intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order to LAC Federal, located at 51 MONROE ST STE PE 04, Rockville, MD 20850-2475. Anticipated award date is November 5, 2020. The requirement is for The Contractor will provide qualified personnel under a labor-hour contract to fill two (2) full-time (1880 hours) library positions, One full-time (1880) Reference Librarian � Level II (RL/C) , and One full-time (1880) Library Technician � Level II� (LT/C) The purpose of the extension is to ensure there is uninterrupted service provided by the two contract personnel while a full-year contract or other personnel action is finalized for FY21. As the incumbent, LAC Federal is the only provider who can ensure uninterrupted service. Due to increased workload under the DFC, an interruption in service would be detrimental to the agency�s goals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561320. Small Business size standard is 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible and capable sources may submit statements of capabilities, which, if received within seven calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by DFC. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice does not restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT.
