- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District intends to award a firm fixed price contract. Tobyhanna Army Family Housing located at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA. Sources Sought The project includes construction of 26 detached, single family housing units within the existing family housing at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD). Six 4-bedroom units (2100 � 2400 sq ft), eight 3- bedroom units (1800 � 2000 sq ft), and two 4-bedroom units compliant to accessibility for individuals with disabilities requirements are included in the base bid. Another ten 4-bedroom units shall be included as options.� All units will include living areas, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, storage, basement or crawl space, double car garage, and private entrance. Heating and air conditioning included in construction will be self- contained systems. Units also require residential automatic sprinkler systems. Traditional or Modular construction meeting the project plans and specifications will be considered. LEED Silver certification under LEED for Homes Design and Construction v 4.0 is required. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is anticipated to be $15M - $30M. The project includes site work such as building demolition of existing residential housing; site regrading for new residential layout and stormwater management; utility and information systems installation and relocation; roadways; sidewalks; parking areas; street lighting; site restoration and landscaping. Site amenities include a picnic shelter, fire pits, and playgrounds. Interested parties are requested to submit the following information: (1) name, address, and contact information for the firm; (2) affirmation of current registration in Beta.SAM, including DUNS and Cage Code, or a plan to do so; (3) business size; (4) affirmation that the firm is not currently prohibited from doing business with the Federal Government; (5) a letter from their surety regarding the bonding capability for a single contract action and aggregate; (6) Examples of at least two but no more than five similar projects which are currently at least 75% complete or that were completed within the last five (5) years. A similar project is defined as meeting all of the following: a. New, detached residential housing construction achieving LEED for Homes Silver Certification; b. Experience working on an active military installation; c. Experience with Construction on a Federal project; d. Including site all required systems (Mechanical, electrical and plumbing) e. Experience with demolition of comparable scale f. Including foundation, superstructure, and exterior enclosure ceilings, staircases, flooring (wood/tile/carpet), doors, trim including crown molding and baseboards). g. Including interior case work, fixtures, equipment and finishes. h. Site work (utilities, grading and stormwater management, pavements, site restoration and landscaping, and site amenities,)
