- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.� This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes to support market research efforts. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Invitation for Bids (IFB) or an announcement of a solicitation in the future. The request does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service on the basis of this RFI. Further, USMS is not seeking an RFP and will not accept any related unsolicited proposals.� Responders are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred in response to the RFI. All associated costs will be solely at the responding party�s expense.� Information and materials provided in response to this RFI will not be returned.� No unsolicited proposals related to this RFI will be accepted.� Not responding to the RFI will not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued.� Based on the response to this RFI, a determination to compete or not to compete a future procurement is solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government.�� If a solicitation or invitation is released, it will be via the Government Wide Point of Entry (GPE) at https://www.beta.SAM.gov.� It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to the requirements described herein. Purpose: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain industry comments on the best practices for the program management support functions of the nationwide Home Intrusion Detection System (HIDS) residential program. The RFI will assist the United States Marshals Service (USMS) to determine interest in participation, and the availability of potential business that can provide services for the USMS. Interested parties should provide publicly available pricing schedule for intrusion detection security components, exterior cameras, and alarm monitoring contract options. The information from this market research will help the USMS with their acquisition strategy. Firms are strongly encouraged to provide comments, questions and suggestions relative to the project scope methodologies and technologies and approach. Any input that business or interested parties would like to provide will be reviewed and considered. SEE ATTACHMENTS.
