- This is a Request for Information (RFI) notice only.� This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. �Only one response is necessary for this announcement.� This notice is for market research purposes only and does NOT constitute a request for proposal.� This notice shall not be construed as a contract, a promise to contract, or as a commitment of any kind by the Government.� The Government is NOT seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals.��In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract or agreement. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement. All costs associated with responding to this RFI are solely at the responding parties' expense.� The Government will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisition alternative because of this RFI. Responses to the RFI will not be returned.� Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFPs, if �issued. If an RFP is issued, it will be synopsized later on https://www.beta.sam.gov and all interested parties must respond to that announcement separately from to the response to this RFI. �A response to this notice is not a request to be added to a bidders list or to receive a copy of a solicitation. This Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) notice is issued by the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office (PEO) Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC), LCS Mission Modules (PMS 420).� The Navy is conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to determine if sources exist that are capable of satisfying the Navy�s anticipated program requirement for production of Surface Mine Countermeasures Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (SMCM UUV) (Knifefish).� The objective of this RFI is to assess industry�s cability to fabricate, assemble, test and deliver Knifefish systems to the designs provided by the government.� The complete Sources Sought/RFI posting contains controlled technical data that cannot be posted to the SAM.gov website and will only be made available to U.S. Department of Defense contractors.� Respondents requesting the Sources Sought/RFI must submit a request to the NAVSEA Contracting Officer ,�Contract Specialist, and the program office representative listed below in order to be verified as eligible to recieve�a Distribution D (DoD and DoD Contractors only) set of questions and additional information. �Respondents should provide the following information: Business Name DUNS Number CAGE Code Business Address Business Website Two Points of Contact with Name, Title, Phone Number, Email Address Primary Point of Contact: Laura Arscott -�Contracting Officer;�laura.e.arscott@navy.mil Secondary Point of Contact: Steven Davanzo -�Contracts Specialist;�steven.davanzo@navy.mil Program Office Representative: Michael Leese -�Acquisition Manager PMS406;�michael.leese@navy.mil
