- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Snow/Ice Removal from Sidewalks and Lawn Mowing Maintenance Services for Child/Youth Services Facilities PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT This announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation synopsis of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. PLANNED SOLICITATION The 413th CSB, Regional Contracting Office - Alaska intends to issue a solicitation for the services listed below. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued during the month of November 2020 and that the solicitation documents will be available during the same time. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP). Proposals will be due no less than 30 days from the solicitation issue date. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted in the beta.sam website at https://beta.sam.gov. The solicitation documents will only be made available in electronic format, downloadable from beta.sam. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to appropriately register in beta.sam and to monitor for notices and amendments. Prospective Offerors are advised to be eligible for award of the contract resulting from the solicitation and to have an active SAM registration, to include satisfactory completion of the applicable online representation & certifications. � TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE This acquisition will be a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside pursuant to FAR 6.203 & FAR 19.502-2. The NAICS Code selected for this acquisition is 561730, which has a size standard of $8 million. � PLANNED CONTRACT INFORMATION The intent is to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract as a result of the solicitation. The planned duration for the contract will be a total of five years, consisting of a one year base ordering period and four one-year option periods. INFORMATION ABOUT THE SERVICES TO BE PROCURED The intent of the solicitation will be to acquire services for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), U.S. Army Garrison - Alaska who has a requirement for Child and Youth Services (CYS) Facilities Snow Removal/Lawn Maintenance services. The requirement will require the Contractor to provide all personnel, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform snow/ice removal from sidewalks and lawn mowing maintenance services. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks to maintain clear and safe passage for pedestrian traffic. Provide lawn mowing and maintenance service to turf areas to maintain an attractive, well-groomed appearance for the Child/Youth Service facilities located on Fort Wainwright, AK. Snow removal services, in some areas, are to be performed in confined spaces which may limit the use of heavy snow removal equipment.
