- Description
- This pre-solicitation notice serves as a synopsis and is posted in accordance with FAR subpart 5.2, Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions. This is not a solicitation. Vendors should not submit offers until the solicitation is posted to beta.SAM.gov. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) requires student and teacher print and digital curriculum resources and related product training and professional learning for K-5 social studies. DoDEA prefers to award one contract but may award one contract per grade level based on the alignment of the resources to the DoDEA curriculum grade level standards. DoDEA has adopted the New York State Social Studies Standards, and Engage New York framework. DoDEA refers to these standards as the CCRS - History/Social Studies (CCRS-H/SS). For more information about these standards, which become effective in the 2021-22 school year, see the following URL: https://www.dodea.edu/Curriculum/socialStudies/standards.cfm. DoDEAs 4th grade curriculum is not aligned to the New York State Social Studies Standards, i.e., the states history. Its focus is on Regions of the United States. The 5th grade standards focus on the history and geography of the Western hemisphere, not US history, the typical 5th grade course of study. DoDEA intends to issue solicitation HE1254-21-R-0002 in support of this requirement. This will be a commercial procurement in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. This requirement will be competed under Full and Open Competition and may result in single or multiple Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity award(s) with a 5-year base period and a 5-year option period. The anticipated contract is Firm-Fixed-Price. Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management prior to submitting a proposal. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 24 November 2020, with a closing date on or about 6 January 2021. It is the responsibility of the potential vendors to monitor beta.SAM.gov for any information that may pertain to a future solicitation.
