- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Environmental Health intends to award a brand name firm-fixed price contract for a total oftwo (2) ASSY EQUIP PERCEPTION READER HD, Part Number 20-4018. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing size standard 500. This acquisition is needed because Protein Biomarkers Laboratory and Lipid Reference Laboratory within the Clinical Chemistry Branch of the Division of Laboratory Science participate in nation-wide studies, such as NHANES and PATH, to measure the levels of hormones, adducts, and urinary creatinine in order to assess the normal levels of these chemicals in population. The requested product is a sample rack scanner that scans the two-dimensional barcodes on the bottoms of vials that the laboratory received for measurements. The requested 2D barcode readers will be customized and used on our automated liquid handler Tecan EVO system. The requested product is compatible with the vials received from collaborators in nation-wide studies and with the software currently used to scan and decode vial IDs. Additionally, the custom Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programs for our analytical method were previously developed from the decoding software of FluidX scanner, therefore, the requested scanner and decoding software would fully support the functionality of the current VBA applications in use for our method. All responses should be emailed to Mr. Philip Robinson at KKQ4@CDC.GOV using solicitation number 75D301-21-Q-72704 in the subject line no later than3 PM Eastern Standard Time,November 27, 2020.
