- This is NOT a solicitation or request for quote (RFQ). This is NOT a request for proposal (RFP). This is NOT a job advertisement for hiring employees. The VA is seeking QUALIFIED VENDORS to provide a very brief response to this notice including only just what is asked for in this notice below. This is sources sought notice to industry and the only information is posted on Contract Opportunities web page at https://BETA.sam.gov/. Sources sought means seeking qualified vendors. The attachments included on the Contract Opportunities page do not include any additional information. If your company is interested please read this notice entirely and submit the required information, as requested herein. VA is seeking qualified vendors who have interest and capability of performing Lab and Facility Courier Services in Wyoming for Sheridan VA Health Care System. Locations include Sheridan, Afton, Casper, Evanston, Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs, Worland and Cody. The lab and facility courier services include transporting lab specimens/boxes, logistics items (mail bags, medical, general and office supplies), laundry (soiled and clean), heavy items up to but not exceeding 35 pounds, small equipment, medications, prosthetics items (patient specific items and clinic stock), respiratory therapy items (patient specific items and clinic stock), audiology items (boxed hearing aids) and IT related items (cords, accessory items, not computers). A qualified vendor is one who has recent experience of a similar size, scope and complexity. Qualified vendors are also able to maintain proper temperature in vehicles to preserve medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, specimens and other items potentially damaged by extreme temperatures. Insulated transport containers will be provided by Sheridan VAHCS for pickup/delivery of specimens. Sheridan VAHCS shall furnish all types of puncture-proof containers (coolers) that are labeled diagnostic specimens for test specimens. All vehicles used for courier services shall have heating and air conditioning to maintain a temperature between 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit. The containers are engineered for safe storage within a room temperature condition for a short period of time. Vehicles shall not be left in extreme heat or cold while specimens, pharmaceuticals, and films/disks are being transported. Damages that occur due to improper temperature controls will be levied against the Contractor. Qualified vendors are also able to maintain Motor Carrier Permit, hazardous material license number, certificate of training of couriers (employers), State of Wyoming driver s licenses, vehicle insurance, and registration. Qualified vendors are also able to maintain drivers who maintain a valid driver s license for the type of vehicle operated as required by the State of Wyoming and who have character and physical capabilities to perform courier duties.
