- This market survey is to identify capable sources to provide their existing Composite Awareness training to FAA airworthiness and manufacturing inspectors.�The content includes information relating to composite material selection and storage, non-destructive testing & inspection methods, assessment of damage, procedures for fabrication of specific composite aircraft structures, and hands-on training.� The provider can be an accredited learning institution, manufacturer, certified repair station or consultant with extensive experience delivering training related to the maintenance and repair of composite aircraft materials.� The contractor may provide this training through their standard course offered to the public or other governmental agencies or by submitting a course solely intended for FAA inspectors. (Please see the Draft PWS for additional information) The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate Competition exists to set-aside the Competition among small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Interested firms are required to provide the Size Standard and attach a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1. Capability Statement- This document should identify: Type of services provided by your firm, (address training required in attached performance work statement) Size and type of services provided by previous contract elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance), number of years in business.
