- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for offers or proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly for market research to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Project Description The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), is seeking interest for Elevator demolition and installation of new elevator and associated equipment. The purpose of this project involves removal, installation and associated construction to the Judges Elevator, at the Seiberling Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, 2 South Main Street Akron, Ohio 44308.� This work will include demolition of the existing elevator cart, motor, and controls.� Install new elevator cart, motor, and controls including removing and installing new elevator hoistway doors and controls on each level.� Two additional openings will be added.� First is to reopen an existing elevator entry on the 2nd�floor.� Second is to cut open a new entry on floor level B3.� Additionally, the project will include replacing a double door with new doors and rough-in for a new card reader. At level B4 to remove an existing elevator door and frame and install a hollow metal door and frame for emergency access.� �The performance period is 135 calendar days upon receipt to Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award is on or about April 2021.� The estimated construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.� The NAICS code is 238290 with a small business size standard of $32.7 million. �No other information is available at this time.�� ���� If you are an interested party, please provide the following information. All information submitted will be subject to verification and additional information may be requested to substantiate responses:� A short statement regarding your firm's expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size.� Are you a small or large business? If small business, indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s) (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned, etc.).� Do you have bonding capability to cover 100% of the construction cost?� Include three projects completed within the last five years similar in size and scope to the work described above. Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address).� Indicate your intent to bid on a subsequent solicitation.� Interested firms should submit the above information to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist at the email address provided in the point of contact section of the announcement. An electronic submission is preferred. Your submission should be no longer than 10 pages.
