END OF AMENDMENT CONTINUATION PAGE Employee Shuttle | Questions/Answers 2 Is there a designated Pickup/waiting area at the H.J. Heinz Division (1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15215) for the staff? If So, Where? There will be a designated location for pick-up/drop-off. This location will be identified at award once the facility can confirm the location employees will be parking. There are multiple parking lots within the H.J. Heinz Division is the expectation to visit each lot prior to leaving to the University Drive Divison. No, there will be one designated pick-up/drop-off location. Is there a specified route the shuttle bus must take throughout the day? There is not a designated route, the VA only requires that the contractor utilize the most advantageous route to move between the locations. Final route can be determined and agreed upon at award. A recommendation by the CDC is requesting that customer/employees get temperature checks. Will this be required by VA during the duration of the project? Employees will be checked once arriving at their designated work area. Additionally, the contractor is required to adhere to all mitigation procedures in place by the CDC, therefore if temperature checks are a requirement then it would be a requirement of the contract. If Yes, what are the protocol for customer/employee that have high temperature? If temperatures are being checked and an employee has a high temperature the contractor should refuse their entry to the vehicle. Is there a location where the bus can be stored on-site while not in use and if so, is it secured? If so, would the driver be able to utilize the off-site parking location while working? Can the H.J Heinz Division Lot be utilized for storing the buses during the off hours and afterhours. Answered in amendment 0002 of the solicitation. What is the definition of trip? Per PWS 2.2 Operation of Shuttle * The Contractor will need to have a procedure in place to disinfect the shuttles after each trip it makes? Will the VA consider making changes and adjustment to the verbiage. Below is White paper discuss the current industry practice for cleaning and disinfecting transit vehicles in response to the pandemic virus American Public Transportation Association - Cleaning and Disinfecting Vehicles and Facilities Technical Advisory Group https://www.apta.com/wp-content/uploads/APTA_WP_Cleaning_and_Disinfecting_Transit_Vehicles_and_Facilities_During_a_Contagious_Virus_Pandemic_FINAL_6-22-2020.pdf Industry standard sanitation procedures are acceptable for this project. An outline of the contractor s planned procedures should be included in the technical proposal of the provided quote. Is there a schedule departure interval for the buses to adhere to from one location to the next? Ie (Every 15 minutes, maximum allowed passenger seated without compromising the social distance protocol/requirement) There is no set interval. The current shuttle program in place at a different location allows for continuous movement. When one shuttle arrives, another departs allowing for employees arriving at different times to not have long wait times between shuttles. A final schedule can be determined after award during the preperformance meeting. Are there restroom and/or break room facilities for our drivers to use? If so, at which stop, building?
