- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE.� THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.� THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT QUOTES.� A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFERORS TO REPSOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a quote and capable of performing the work required to complete the project. Background:� FMC Carswell has the responsibility to provide inmates clean clothing, bed linens, towels and wash cloths in order for inmates to maintain a hygienic environment while incarcerated.� Although commercial washers and dryers are provided at FMC Carswell, it is necessary to have all medical linens and uniforms as well as inmate clothing and linens turned in to the institutional clothing room and commercially laundered to ensure proper sanitation before they are issued to the inmate population.�� The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), FMC Carswell located in Fort Worth, TX is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having interest in and the resources to support a requirement: The contractor will provide the laundry service at a projected cost per pound. FMC Carswell will be responsible for properly marking all items to be laundered by the Contractor.� The cost of dyeing, if needed, will also be at a cost per pound.� �FMC Carswell will supply the dye if needed.� All other personnel, equipment, and supplies required to perform the service will be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor will transport and process FMC Carswell laundry two (2) days per week (Tuesday and Thursday), with transports and processing increasing to three (3) days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) as laundry workload increases are realized.� �The laundry will be cleaned, dried, folded, and separated by size and type of item.� THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME.� This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform this service, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort.� If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated.� BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET -ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.� Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.� Submission Instructions:� Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the above-listed service are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 1200 p.m., December 8, 2020.� All responses under this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to aarriaga@bop.gov
