Description
The United States Postal Service (Postal Service) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the purposes of conducting a market survey and prequalifying potential suppliers. The primary objective of the RFI is to identify and analyze supplier capabilities in specific locations. The Postal Services operational objective is to lease trailers with local suppliers in order to allow the Postal Service to transport mail. Potential suppliers do not have to be able to support each of the sites. Prequalification of suppliers is necessary in order to adequately screen for suppliers capable of delivering the services and performance levels that Postal Service requires. Supplier specific factors include: 1. Geographic coverage compatible with the needs of the Postal Service which includes domestic transportation; 2. Prior experience and a history of managing lease trailer fleet; 3. At least 6 months of experience in transportation from origin to destination by internal and/or external users. 4. At least 12 months of business operation as a stand-alone and financial operating entity and the organizations DUNS number. 5. Most recent fiscal year audited balance sheet and income statement. Postal Service is willing to execute a non-disclosure agreement for these financial statements if required. The experience levels cited above are deemed to be the minimum acceptable periods for prequalification. When selecting a supplier to perform services based upon their proposal, consideration will be given to longer experience in these categories. Companies are invited to submit a response to this RFI. Responses are to be organized under five tabs corresponding to the requested items above. The responses are to be submitted as email attachments addressed to Shyawn T. Littleford at Shyawn.t.littleford@usps.gov and Emma Manogue at Emma.j.manogue@usps.gov. If attachments exceed four megabytes, please subdivide the content and send more than one email with attachments that are smaller than four megabytes each. This RFI is for informational and prequalification purposes only. The Postal Service does not intend to award a contract on the basis on this RFI and may or may not issue a solicitation for the requirements described. Additionally, this RFI does not commit the Postal Service to pay any cost for the preparation and submission of a response to this published RFI. The attachment identifies the locations, the quantity, and trailer sizes required.
