Description
This is a Sources Sought and Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a solicitation announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP). This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firm's ability to submit a proposal if and when a solicitation is issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District is conducting market research to identify potential sources to provide interactive stand-alone tables and displays as identified below. Description of Requirement: The East Branch Clarion River Lake Project consists of an earthen dam with a newly constructed concrete cut- off wall built through its center. The dam was initially constructed for the purposes of flood risk reduction, low-flow augmentation, water quality, fish & wildlife management and recreation. The team at East Branch operates and maintains a 41 site campground, overlook recreation picnicking area, hiking trails, lake boat launch, Kilgus Road canoe & kayak launch, and fishing trail with a delayed harvest area and trophy trout fishing.� East Branch Lake offers beautiful water quality and supports a healthy fishery of small mouth bass, walleye, muskellunge, pike, and lake trout, as well as various species of pan fish.� The purpose of the East Branch Clarion River Lake is to provide flood risk management, water quality and conservation, low flow augmentation, recreation, and fish and wildlife conservation.� East Branch Clarion River Lake Project is converting the existing Resource Manager�s Office into an Interpretive Center that will be used to inform, educate, and distribute information to its visitors on the historical, natural and cultural resources pertaining to the lake and the area.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers anticipated purchase consists of following: 2 EA: Aquarium 300-500 gallons to include all associated filtration system.� �Aquarium should be no greater than 30� wide and no greater than 80� high, no greater than 120� long.� Must be able to fit through a standard ADA entrance of 32�x84�. �Aquarium shall have a chiller appropriate for its size.� The filtration system shall have the ability to be easily maintained by field personnel. 2 EA: Aquaponic Element Aquarium Topper with LED lighting with white and blue settings.� 1 EA: Interactive Stand-Alone Water Table. �The filtration system shall have the ability to be easily maintained by field personnel.� The water table feature shall not exceed 10 consecutive feet in length and shall be between 10 and 20 feet in total length (octagon shaped building with each side being 10� wide).� Must be able fit through a standard ADA entrance of 32�x84�. 1 EA: Augmented Reality Sand Table.� Shall allow user to shape a watershed of sand and visually see the impacts of their shaping on a watershed.� Table must be no greater than 120� long and be able to fit through a standard ADA entrance of 32�x84�. 1 EA: Interactive Stand-Alone Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) Display. This interactive stand-alone water feature still not require plumbing hook up, requires a built-in filtration system to AMD display. 1 EA: Woolly Adelgid Display. Depicting and explaining their assault on our native Hemlock tree. 1 EA: Beaver Dam Display. Shall demonstrate how a beaver constructs its dam.� The display should accurately display a beaver lodge cross section with dimensional underwater passageways and beavers traveling in and out of the lodge display.� Corps personnel will add a cabinet with beaver mount, beaver pelt, beaver skull, and other associated items. 1 EA: Interactive Native Animal Display. Containing native animal tracks, feces, sounds, etc. 1 EA: Bird Microphone & Speakers. To be installed next to window with large bird feeder outside window 1 EA: Interactive Bird Identification Kiosk. Containing North American birds, with the ability to search defining characteristics, and include their natural habitat, migration pattern, diet, etc. Interested and capable sources are requested to provide complete responses to the information below to Connie.L.Ferguson@usace.army.mil and/or lrp.contracting@usace.army.mil� no later than 3:00 pm (EST) on December 18, 2020.
