- Description
- This Targeted Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), theRequirements and Capabilities Analysis Office (RCA)/ Alarm Resolution (AR) Capabilities -- Request for Information (RFI) NumberTSA25-04-03541 is amended to incorporatethe following changes: 1. The TSA Requirements Capability Analysis (RCA) Office is hosting an e-Industry Day for Alarm Resolution (AR) solutions on December 17th, 2020. (Attachment 5 titled TSAIndustryDayAgenda) The goals of this e-Industry Day are to: Communicate TSA's expectations, requirements, and milestones for the AR systems; Work collaboratively with stakeholders to discuss TSA's vision for AR systems including, but is not limited to, improved sampling for explosives, non-explosive precursors for Homemade Explosives (HME), and non-explosive threat materials, enhanced threat analysis & resolution, and interoperability with TSA TSE architecture; Initiate discussions between industry and government surrounding TSA's approach to enhancing the capabilities of AR systems in the short- and long-term. The purpose of this e-Industry Day: The Requirements, Human Performance, and Engineering Division (RHPED) within the TSA's RCA is conducting market research to determine if there are current or future capabilities for delivering solutions for AR operations. Given the inherent airport terminal space constraints in TSA's secondary security screening domain, where AR and Advanced AR (AAR) functions reside, TSA recognizes that different countermeasure capabilities are better at detecting certain types of threat substances; this e-Industry Day offers the opportunity to initiate discussions with industry representatives, access market information and innovations, and attract interest in next generation passenger screening technology.
