Description
Request for Information The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) seeks to input from qualified vendors regarding capabilities to perform the services of a qualified Industrial Hygienist (IH) Consultant to 1. survey/test/provide remediation recommendations for presence of residual methamphetamine powder and presence of mold, and 2. Perform remediation, including cleanup of surfaces with surface mold and/or methamphetamine powder residue contamination, including possible repair and replacement of surfaces such as carpet, flooring, sheetrock, HVAC ducting components (if needed) for either contaminant. The work will be confined to specified interior spaces within a 16,500 square-foot sized building located on Indian Reservation Land in Jefferson County, Oregon. All interested and qualified vendors are encouraged to respond to this notice; however the Bureau of Indian Affairs is required to give preference to Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs). This is a Request for Information and no Solicitation exists for this work. Quotes are not being requested. Information received will be used to assist the government in a procurement method. The government reserves the right to cancel this Request for Information; any information your company provides in response to this Request for Information will not be returned. Please provide the following information in your response: Question 1: Please state whether your firm is capable of testing/surveying commercial buildings for the presence of (select either a, b, or c and provide with your company information, including company name, DUNS#, small business size, and evidence of experience): a. methamphetamine powder residue (NOTE: this does not include chemical residue impacts from the production of methamphetamine) b. presence of surface mold c. both methamphetamine powder residue and surface mold Question 2: Please state whether your firm is capable of remediation (including demo, repair, and replacement of surfaces/HVAC ducting components) for: a. methamphetamine powder residue b. surface mold c. both methamphetamine residue and mold 3. Provide sample reports demonstrating your firm�s experience with producing reports outlining remediation and cleanup methods for meth above action levels and surface mold, including samples of past reports for both methamphetamine and mold testing/surveying and remediation, if applicable. 4. Your firm�s experience and capability in performing remediation and cleanup for commercial and municipal buildings. If you hold more mold remediation expertise and less or no methamphetamine remediation expertise, or vice versa, or hold equal experience in both areas, please so state. 5. Your company�s preferred method for quoting mold /methamphetamine survey/test work (unit pricing by room, by square foot, by job, etc.) 6. Your company�s preferred method for quoting mold remediation type work (unit pricing by room, by square foot, by job, etc.). 7. Your company�s preferred method for quoting methamphetamine powder residue remediation type work (unit pricing by room, by square foot, by job, etc.). Who May Respond to this Request for Information Any qualified vendor may respond to this Request for Information. The anticipated NAICS code for this requirement is NAICS code 562910, Environmental Remediation Services, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Businesses with a qualified Industrial Hygienist and HAZWOPER Standard, 29 CFR 1910.120 qualified staff will be required to perform and certify work on any contract issued for this work; all firms holding these qualifications may respond to this notice; the government will use the information collected from this Request for Information to assist in determining a procurement method. As stated above, qualified Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs), if they respond to this notice, shall be given first consideration for any future set aside.
