Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interested vendors for a fabrication repair of a Bronze Turbine Runner Repair at their facility. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The Bureau of Reclamation, Columbia Pacific Region, Black Canyon Field Office, anticipates a future procurement for the crack and cavitation shop repair and balancing of the bronze turbine runner for hydro pump No. 1 at Black Canyon Dam, Emmett, Idaho. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 332313, Plate work (e.g. bending, cutting, punching, shaping, welding) fabricated metal, manufacturing. The small business size standard is 750 employees. Product Service Code is J036 Maintenance/repair/rebuild of equipment - Special Industry Machinery. This NAICS code is on the procurement list for Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB). Responses are requested with the following information: 1. Offerors' name, address, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. 2. Business size/classification to include any designations as Small Business, HUBZone, Woman owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, or 8(a) shall be indicated on first page of submission. 3. DUNS and CAGE number. 4. Information to indicate that your company has the capability of fabrication repair of a bronze turbine runner at your facility. The turbine runner is approximately 32 inches diameter, 15 inches tall, 625 lbs., bronze alloy with 17 buckets. Results of this market research will assist in determining the appropriate set aside for the procurement. Vendors are strongly encouraged to respond. Responses need to be received by COB 2 pm Mountain Time, December 18, 2020. Email responses to: Carrie Calleja at ccalleja@usbr.gov Responses will not be returned. Telephonic responses will not be honored. This is not a Request for Quotation, only a Request for Information. No award will result from this Sources Sought. This notice does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Based on this market research the Government anticipates to issue a written Request for Quote at the end of December and award at the end of January. This sources sought synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.
