- NOTICE OF INTENT This notice is prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The contracting office responsible for this notice is the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) Contracting Directorate (PK), Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, 20762. The AFDW/PK intends to award a sole source contract to the exclusive small business Wholesaler for Statistical Analysis System (SAS) Institute, Inc. the manufacturer for the JMP software. This procurement falls under FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this procurement is 423430 Computer Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesaler.� All responsible sources may submit a capability statement by 12:00 PM EST on 21 Dec 2020 providing information of a brand name or equal product with the same salient characteristics to the JMP software. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations.�The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of capability statements. � Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a subsequent competitive procurement.� If no sufficient response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. A sufficient response includes documentation that indicates the vendor�s experience and ability to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
