- �Request for Information This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, and is issued solely for the purpose of market research. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposals (RFP), a solicitation, a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a promise to issue such a document in the future. This RFI is not a promise and provides no indication that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will consider or contract for the item submitted in response to this RFI. This RFI does not commit the FBI to contract for any supply or service. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is not requesting proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the FBI will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responder�s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, should one be issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the�beta.SAM.gov website. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the FBI. The FBI has not made a commitment to procure the item discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become FBI property and will not be returned. All information received in response to this RFI marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. The FBI shall not be liable nor suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly marked or identified. Proprietary information or trade secrets shall be clearly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable Government regulations. Background:� The FBI requires parts identified in the De Havilland Component Solution program provided by De Havilland Aircraft of Canada to maintain and repair the�Dash 8�Q400 aircrafts in support of the FBI mission. Questions� Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by email to�amdailey@fbi.gov�. Verbal questions will not be accepted. Questions will be answered by posting answers to�beta.SAM.gov website as an amendment to this announcement; accordingly, questions shall not contain proprietary or classified information. The FBI does not guarantee that questions received after Tuesday, December 22, 2020,11:00 am CST will be answered. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this RFI. Summary� This is a Request for Information (RFI) only to identify sources that can provide smart parts for the DASH 8 Q400 aircraft. The smart part program provides the maintenance, repair, overhaul or replacement of covered components of the DASH 8 Q400 aircraft.�Interested vendors are requested to provide a statement of capabilities to the contact listed for this notice. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The FBI has not made a commitment to procure the item discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur costs for which reimbursement would be required or sought.
