- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION� The 47th Contracting Flight is seeking information from industry for the purpose of conducting market research. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract or any other type of contractual document. � THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP). NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME AND NO PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED.� 1. Overview/Purpose/ Description of Procurement: The 47th Operations Group (47 OG) is seeking contractors capable of providing an Atmospheric LiDAR system for the purposes of detecting atmospheric phenomenon such as aerosols and clouds.� 2.�Scope of Effort/Technical Characteristics: The Contractor will: 1)�� �Provide an Atmospheric LiDAR system with the following (or similar) characteristics: a.�� �Must be able to detect atmospheric phenomenon such as aerosols and clouds b.�� �Must have atmosphere profiling capabilities with a minimum range up to 15km, able to scan the atmosphere to detect� � � � � � � weather phenomenon c.�� �Must have a climate controlled shelter with capabilities for a maximum temperature of 110F d.�� �Must provide on-site installation and training e.�� �Must have support for software updates and warranties for instrument parts f.� � �Must have any traveling expenses included g.�� �Must have a minimum of Windows 7 and a maximum of Windows 10 operating system h.�� �Must not weigh more than 20kg i.� � �Must be capable of producing polarized products j.� � �Must have programmable software for range resolution k.�� �Must have data acquisition and playback mode to get straightforward interpretation of the raw data l.� � �Must have a minimum laser wavelength of 532nm m.�� Must have eye safety for implementing safe Laser programs 3.�� �Please provide a statement that contains the following: a)�� �Capability of providing the required product b)�� �If product differs from the given specifications, vendors are responsible for providing a statement on how the item meets or exceeds these specifications. c)�� �Small business size status of the company, include any small business socioeconomic contracting programs (i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or WOSB programs) that your firm is registered under.
