- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Thermo Electron North America for a maintenance agreement for a nano-UPLC system�(Thermo RSLCnano HPLC) and mass spectrometric equipment (Thermo Orbitrap Lumos). �The vendor needs to cover at least one preventative maintenance (PM) visit a year as well as cover all costs, including parts, labor, and travel, for any needed repairs to maintain the instrument at original manufacturer specifications. The contract should include a maximum 72-hour on-site response with priority status and options for faster response by phone or on-line diagnostic sessions. �Vendor supplied computers and non-major software upgrades should be covered as well. �All repairs will need to be done by engineers that have been trained by the OEM with up to date certifications and knowledge of the equipment. �All repairs need to be performed using only original manufacturer (OEM) parts �The vendor needs to be a direct service vendor to prevent delays in servicing critical equipment.�This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be reviewed by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any response should be emailed to contract specialist at ezj7@cdc.gov by COB 30 Dec 2020.
