Description
Purpose: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY.� The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of firms, including Large Businesses and Small Businesses with socio-economic set-asides.�� ��� NO PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED OR ACCEPTED WITH THIS SYNOPSIS. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNPOSIS. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requested.� Please note that a decision not to submit a response to this RFI will not preclude a vendor from participating in any future solicitation. The government is seeking firms under the North America Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 541990; All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, with a size standard of $15.0 million. Description/Scope of Work/Performance Work Statement: The Indian Health Service (IHS) mission is to raise the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska natives to the highest level.� This includes providing direct medical care and well as preventative health support through a variety of programs.� The Office of Environmental Health and Engineering (OEHE) contributes to the IHS mission through its support of the Clinical Engineering (CE) Program across all Areas. The purpose of the proposed requirement is to provide a comprehensive medical equipment procurement advisory service with evidence-based comparative evaluations, price benchmarking data, and expertise to support our capital equipment and health information technology decisions. **The IHS current contract is with the ECRI Institute for subscription services. The IHS is SEEKING VENDORS who support and provide BOTH of these services (#1 and #2) below AND/OR equivalent with comparable features and support.** NOTE: Paragraphs 1 � 2 below are a SAMPLE of the services IHS will be seeking.� This sample provides what IHS has contracted in the past however does not represent solely what IHS is currently looking for.� IHS is seeking vendors, resellers and/or alternatives that are capable of providing: 1. Requirements Overview: Medical Equipment Advisory Service� The vendor shall provide, as part of their medical equipment advisory services, the following: Custom Reports � Provide unlimited benchmarking and custom comparative reports. These reports will be performed on-demand for the purchase of capital medical devices and healthcare IT systems. Pricing Capital - Browse budgetary pricing and biomed interest trends for medical devices and healthcare IT systems. Market Intelligence - Access to market intelligence for healthcare decision makers that includes member interest charts, key clinical specifications, budgetary pricing, and service information. Evaluations and Guidance � Access to product evaluations, safety recommendations, and medical device selection guidance. Medical Device Specifications - Information and insights needed to understand and compare capital medical equipment and healthcare IT systems. Procurement Trends - Insights and analytics into capital equipment procurement trends. 2. Requirements Overview:� Alerts Workflow or a Tracker for Alerts The vendor shall provide a smart patient safety solution to help mitigate risk by streamlining our alerts and recall management process that will allow users to: Track recall activity in real time. Verify which tasks are completed, which need follow-up, and that recalls are addressed. Run reports to monitor alerts-related issues. Access evidence-based content and guidance on alerts related to medical devices. Submission Package: REMINDER: **IHS is SEEKING VENDORS who support and provide BOTH #1 and #2 above AND/OR equivalent services with comparable features and support.** Interested PRIME CONTRACTORS are invited to submit a capabilities statement/narrative demonstrating the firm�s experience in construction projects of a similar nature as described above.� The submittal shall be no longer than ten (10) letter-size pages and shall include the following: 1.�Cover letter/sheet�that includes:� A. Your firm's Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number,� B. CAGE code (if applicable),� C. Company point of contact (POC) and� D. Socioeconomic status under North American Industry Classification System� (NAICS) code 541990 (i.e., SBA Certified 8(a), SBA Certified HUBZone, SDB, SDVOSB, WOSB, Native American Owned, etc.), and any other� relevant/appropriate data. E. GSA MAS Contract Number (if applicable) 2.�Indicate if a solicitation is issued, will your firm be submitting a proposal (Yes/No) 3. Indicate whether your firm is authorized to provide Medical Equipment Advisory Services AND Real-Time Alerts. If there is an alternative to these, please provide this information. 4. General Business Information: Provide general information about your business, to include any relevant information pertaining to the requirement. 5.�Experience/Past Performance: Submit at least two (2) but no more than five (5) of similar projects completed within the last ten (10) years that are relevant to the work that will be required under this project. Firms shall include the following information: a. Indicate whether Prime Contractor or Subcontractor for each project submitted; b. Dates for each project submitted; c. Contract value, location, completion date, and complexity of job for each project submitted; d. Indicate whether the project is a federal, state, tribal or other for each project submitted; and e. Project references/Agency point of contact (telephone number and e-mail address) for each project submitted.
