- Description
- The VA Palo Alto Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Permatect Facility Solutions, Inc. The proposed contract action is to prepare and apply protective sealant to VCT flooring, to include the immediate 4 inches of cove base from the floor up to the wall. In addition, the Contractor shall provide restorative services, as requested, to maintain a �like new� appearance of the VCT Flooring. Existing Polymer coatings will be removed using Permatect�s DCR (Durable Coating Remover). 100% of existing wax coatings must be removed to achieve bonding with new coating. The coating shall be Permatect�s V-Sheild interlocking siloxane inorganic protective barrier. All VCT flooring shall be sealed with a coat of an Inorganic Siloxane based Permanent Barrier equivalent to Permatect�s �Proprius-One� to provide impermeable seal over the entire treated area. This sole source action is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no competitive solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements or provide an equal product may give written notification to the contract specialist for consideration. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform, and is due by January 4th, 2021 at 3:00PM Pacific. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
