Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Regional Healthcare Contracting Office-Central, Weed Army Community Hospital, intends to award a sole source contract with Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties DBA Lifestream, for blood products for transfusion services. Weed Army Community Hospital is located in a remote location and Lifestream is the closest vendor to the hospital that can deliver blood products without hindering surgery or trauma events within the hospital. Award will be made on or about 15 March 2021. Period of Performance will be base year plus four option year periods.� Blood supplies and products be available for delivery within a 40 mile radious of Weed Army Community Hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and must be processed in a fully accredited laboratory. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capabilities and specifications. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. The solicitation number is W81K00-21-Q-0059 and is generated for the purposes of posting this notice of intent and the final Justification and Approval (J&A) document. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All responses received, to include capability statements, within 5 days of the posting of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the interim purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
