Description

Presolicitation Notice: W911S8-21-B-0003 HVAC Repair Bldg. J01164 Description The work shall consist of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials to perform all work in strict accordance with the contract,�the Statement of Work (SOW), and identified drawings to repair Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)�at bldg. J01164 (Hangar 7), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The following is a brief summary of the project and is provided solely for the purpose of revealing the general nature of the work involved: Contractor shall Repair Climate Control Units, Bldg. J01164. Contractor shall clean and flush existing heating piping (entire building) using a blend of polymeric and chelating agents that will preferentially remove iron oxides prior to installing new equipment. Existing equipment may remain connected during flush. Flush shall be performed prior to the installation of new Close Control Unit (CCU) and Air Handling Unit (AHU). Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing CCUs to include supports, piping, valves, drains, electrical, etc. as required to install new CCUs per the SOW and attachments. The new CCUs will be installed at ground level on an elevated platform. Contractor shall repair AHU�ducts�and Exhaust, and�install additional Exhaust in�Bldg. J01164 in accordance with�the SOW and attachments. Contractor shall provide new DDC shop drawings for Bldg. J01164 to achieve HVAC sequence of operations. The Invitation for Bid will result in the award of one fixed-priced contract. The contract performance period will be 150 calendar days after the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed for the Base Item(s). Phasing of the projects/facilities will be described in the solicitation when issued. The magnitude of this project is expected to be between $250,000 and $500,000.� The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220.� Size Standard is $16.5M.� Solicitation for this requirement will be accomplished via Invitation for Bid.� The solicitation number will be W911S8-21-B-0003 and is tentatively planned to be released around�19 March 2021.� This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings, will be made available only on BetaSAM at https://beta.sam.gov/. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and drawings.� Paper copies will not be available.� Once the solicitation is posted, interested parties must review the website frequently for updates and amendments to any and all documents; and verifying the number of amendments issued prior to the due date for proposals. The closing date and time for submission of bids will be contained in the solicitation package.� No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained by this office. All potential bidders must obtain a DUNS number and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DoD).� Lack of registration in the SAM database and failure to obtain a DUNS number will make a bidder ineligible for award.
