Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY.� The US Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research to facilitate a determination of acquisition strategy.� The determination of acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the government and will be based on this market research and information available to the government from other sources.� The US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting this market research to identify firms which have the capability to perform the following work: DESCRIPTION OF WORK:� This project is to repair the Tanana sill protection groin at the Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project near North Pole, Alaska.� The Tanana sill groin is a rock revetment that protects a sheet pile sill in the floodway of the Chena Flood Control Project from the Tanana River. ��After its construction in 1979, the sill protection groin has been subject to erosion by the changing course of the Tanana River.� The scope of this project is to procure, transport and place up to 100,000 tons of rip rap on the Tanana sill groin toe and slope.� The rip rap gradation will conform to Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities gradation for Class IV rip rap.� The Contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and other items and/or services necessary to accomplish the work. Construction wage rates will apply. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Heavy and Other Civil Construction, and the related size standard is $39.5 Million.� The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is $10M-$25M. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT OPEN TO ALL QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTOR FIRMS (Large and Small Businesses under NAICS 237990).� All interested firms are encouraged to respond to this announcement no later than 10 March 2021, by 2:00 PM Alaska Standard Time, by submitting all requested documentation listed below to:� US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, ATTN: CEPOA-CT (Gosh), PO Box 6898, JBER, AK 99506-0898 or via email to Jennifer.Gosh@usace.army.mil and John.L.Mccomas@usace.army.mil. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package (not exceeding 3 pages) demonstrating the ability to perform the work listed above.� Packages should include the following information: (1)� Company name, address, DUNS number, CAGE Code�and business size under NAICS 237990. (2) �Type of small business if applicable (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Woman Owned, etc.). (3)� Demonstration of the firm�s experience as a prime contractor on projects of similar size, scope and complexity within the past ten years.� List actual projects completed and include project title, location and a brief description of the project including dollar amount and work that was self-performed. (4)� The firm�s single project bonding limit. (5)� The firm�s intent to propose on this project as a prime contractor.
