Description
SUMMARY: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District (SPN) is seeking market input for the Moss Landing Jetty Repair. The principle work element is Jetty Repair and identified under NAICS code 237990. The Small Business size standard is $36,500,000.00.� Be advised, that Small Businesses who express interest in this program (individual work efforts) are required by law to self-perform at least 40% of the project with their own equipment or equipment owned by another Small Business (reference 13 CFR 121.201).� The responses received from this notice, will assist SPN in understanding the design and construction effort involved.� Please send your responses via email to Mrs. Mary Fronck at� Mary.Fronck@usace.army.mil � WORK DESCRIPTION: The Moss Landing jetties are 600 feet apart and protect a 200 foot wide navigation channel that is maintained to a dredged depth of -15 feet (MLLW). The North Jetty is approximately 954 feet long with a design crest elevation of approximately +12 feet MLLW. Attached to the shoreward end of the North Jetty is the North Revetment section, which is 580 feet long and has a crest elevation of +8 feet.� The South Jetty is 516 feet long with a design crest elevation of +12 feet MLLW. The revetment/training wall section of the South Jetty has a crest elevation of +8 ft MLLW and is approximately 790 ft long. The side slopes for all the structures vary from 1.5H: 1V to 2.5H: 1V. The North and South jetties were constructed in 1947. The work consists of transporting armor stones from a quarry to Moss Landing and using land/water-based equipment to repair the Moss Landing North and South jetties. The armor stone quantity is 3,000 tons for the North Jetty and 1,700 tons for the South Jetty. Rock placement equipment must be able to handle armor stones that are up to 13 tons. Repairs such as rock resetting and armoring are needed on the trunk and jetty head. Pictures of the jetties and area of repair are provided as an attachment to this notice. Be advised that the information provided in this notice is an approximation for planning purposes, and the information may not reflect the actual solicitation (advertisement) conditions.�� CAPABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: Interested parties are asked to provide a response to this notice, conforming to the following questions: � Name of your Company Size Standard of your Company Capability statement to perform the repair and support equipment in order to complete the work.� Interested parties must have the capability and equipment necessary performing the jetty repair. All proposed equipment must be identified as part of the response to this Market Research. Experience statement for projects of similar scope, magnitude, and complexity.� Please provide experience within the last 10 years; and no more than three (3) examples, inclusive of the following information: Brief description of project, Customer name and Point of Contact, Contract Duration Contract location, List of equipment used, and Dollar value of the project. The Government is contemplating the extent of water-based construction methods to include in the jetty repair project scope (to ensure the appropriate level of Environmental coordination). What extent of water-based and land-based construction do you propose for this project? If a barge-mounted crane is proposed to be used, what is the maximum distance the crane can reach from the barge? What is draft of the barge with the crane for loading the armor stones (both loaded and unloaded)? Is the barge equipped with sonar? What is the maximum wave size that your equipment can operate in? Do you have experience with jetty repairs? Do you have experience with coastal construction work adjacent to endangered species habitat? RESULTS INFORMATION:� Respondents will not be notified.� Firms responding to this request for information announcement, who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be used to help the Government make the acquisition decision, which is the intent of this sources sought announcement.
