- Amendment 1:� Questions and Answers 1. Question:��Do you have any drawings, brand, or model number I can use to reference?���ANSWER:� The preferred brand/model is ""Hydration Pro Plus W/500 with a 550LB Ice Storage Bin"" with a 1/2"" water supply and�drainage line. 2. Question:��Who would be the contact that I could use to try and set up a site visit for a potential installer?� ANSWER:� Site visit will occur with the awardee.� Photos of location are well enough to understand location and requirements. 3.�Question:� I didn�t not see any insurance requirements or bond requirements for the RFQ.� Can you tell me where I can obtain that information?� ANSWER:� This is being awarded as a ""commodity"" requirement under the FAR Part 13, Simiplified Acquisition Procedures, with incidental services/labor.� The work/labor associated with both electrical and drainage should be well under $35K and, therefore, bonding and insurance will not be applicable.� However, if your quote includes more than $35K total in labor for electrical and drainage, then contractor will be required to obtain bonding and insurance. 4.� Question:� How soon after contract is awarded must work begin and end?� ANSWER:� Work, such as ordering the items required to start installation, shall begin at the soonest after award.� The government understands that there may be a lead time for acquisition of the Ice Maker and parts, but requires expeditious installation of those items when the contractor receives the necessary items and parts. 5.� Question:� Can you also provide the actual spell out for these acronyms in the SOW:� IBC, UBC, IMC, UPC, OSHA, UFCs, UFGS, NFPA, AF Instructions?� ANSWER:��IBC � international building code;��UBC � uniform building code;��IMC � international mechanical code;��UPC � uniform plumbing code;��OSHA � occupational safety and health agency;��UFC � unified facilities criteria;��UFGS � unified facilities guide specifications;��NFPA � national fire protection association;��AF Instructions � any applicable AF instructions ======================================================= This is a combined synopsis/solicitation utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 13.� The requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns.� The requirement is for, but not limited to, delivery and installing ice makers at JBSA Lackland AFB, TX 78236.� Requirement includes electrical and water hook-ups to ensure a turn-key installation and delivery of these ice makers.�� Please refer to the attached Request for Quote and other attachments for full details of the requirement/solicitation. Questions/concerns are due no later than 7 April 2021.� Offers/Quotes are due no later than 15 April 2021 by 10:00AM SATX Local time.
