Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Replacement of Air Handling Units at Building 21, DFAS W912QR21R0049 SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, supplies and services as required for the replacement of three (3) Air Handling Units at Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Building 21, located within the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC), a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) installation to result in a complete and useable facility. As part of the solicitation, USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements: Air Handling Units � The replacement Air Handling Units (AHU) will specifically be Trane Model AHUs. This is required for the new AHUs to maintain compatibility with the existing Building Management System (BMS) and associated service agreements currently in place. Building Management System � Use of Johnson Controls services will be required to ensure the AHUs can tie into the current BMS being utilized. The system has been configured to work exclusively with Trane heating and cooling equipment and software. Additionally, DFAS has a current service contract with Johnson Controls to provide a technician to update and maintain the BMS monthly.
