- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business, SBA-certified HUBZone, SBA-certified 8(a), Women-Owned, or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors available for a proposed project who meet the specific criteria outlined below. This is not a solicitation Announcement or Request for Proposal. It does not constitute any commitment by the Government. No award will result from this notice. The purpose is to conduct market research to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government to make an appropriate acquisition decision.�The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) will not award a contract on the basis of responses or pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this notice. A?er completing an analysis of the responses, the Government will determine whether to limit competition to 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, Women-Owned, or other small business firms, or to proceed with issuing an unrestricted solicitation, inviting full and open competition. Requirements: The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Western Regional Research Center, 800 Buchanan Street, Albany, CA 94710�has issued this sources sought�announcement in order to determine if there are existing businesses�sources capable of providing REES System upgrade from wired to wireless boards and sensors.� The complete minimum requirements are: 1.�Power over Ethernet (POE) ready network device that will connect transmitters back to a central node over the organizations existing TCP/IP Network. Monitor sensors on the other side of your facility, across campus, or across country. No power is required as it is powered and battery backed-up by the existing network infrastructure. The maximum number of modules that it supports is 35. (Note: Requires CentronSQL software Build1019 or higher and a network connection. Use up to 20 Z3-NET devices and 1 Z3-CRD per Centron Node with Build 1019 or higher). 2.�Rees Scientific Z3 Zigbee Universal wireless transmitter for 1 input uses an advanced fifth generation Zigbee protocol stack that has been optimized for extremely efficient communications. These transmitters accept any type of Rees Scientific or industry standard sensor and provide 12 bit analog to digital conversion accuracy. Transmitters also buffer 7 days of readings history recorded at 5 minute intervals. Battery life for approximately 1.25 years. For Displays, Audible Alarms and Output Relays, see accessory covers (Z3-LCD-CVR, Z3-AVA-CVR, Z3- RELAY-CVR) and expansion modules (Z3-EM-LCD, Z3-EM-AVA). (Note: Requires software Build1015 or higher) 3.�Single point onsite calibration of temperature or humidity sensor with traceable equipment. 4.�Rees Scientific Z3 Zigbee wireless Temperature transmitter. Temp -15 to +60C. Includes 3 Pt ISO 17025 Certificate. Transmitters also buffer 7 days of readings history recorded at 5 minute intervals. Battery or AC powered. When AC powered, transmitters become routers for other sensors. When operating on battery, typical battery life is approximately 1.5 years. Transmitters have low battery alarm. Companies who have the experience, as well as an interest in doing business with ARS, should submit a Capabilities Statement which, for this notice, is not expected to be a proposal, but rather short statements regarding the company�s ability to demonstrate their expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified in this notice. Companies should also indicate their DUNS and whether they are a Small Business, SBA-certified HUBZone, SBA-certified 8(a), SDVOSB, or Women-Owned�Small Business.
