- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Iliana Healthcare System VISN 12,1900 East Main Street Danville Illinois 61832, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), intends to request quotation on a sole source basis with Trane US Inc. for the provision of a Service Maintenance Agreement. NAICS 238220 and PSC code J041 apply. In order to ensure the validity of the warranty procured under contract 36C25221P0626, a factory authorized service and maintenance program is required. Contract 36C25221P0626 provided the R Newal program for the rebuild and renewal of the compressor of the chiller unit and comes with a five-year warranty upon completion of the rebuild. The warranty covers parts and labor for the compressor for a five-year period . Trane is the only factory authorized Service and Controls Contracting Company servicing the state of Illinois, per a sole source letter provided by the manufacturer. Use of non-factory authorized sources would void the 5-year warranty. Periods of performance are estimated as follows: Base Period of Performance: 06/01/2021 05/31/2022 Option Year 1: 06/01/2022 05/31/2023 Option Year 2: 06/01/2023 05/31/2024 Option Year 3: 06/01/2024 05/31/2025 Option Year 4: 06/01/2025 05/31/2026 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 pm CDT on Friday May 21, 2021. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. All responses must be sent by email to kevin.adkins@va.gov
