- Notice of Intent to Sole Source for�Hardware Maintenance Agreement The National Institutes of Health intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Sterling Computers located at 6700 Springfield Drive, Suite J, Springfield, VA 22150. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the required services as no other source has been identified who can provide the requirement listed below. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the NIH anticipates issuing an award for the renewal of a Dell computer maintenance service agreement to maintain and ensure continuity of services and 100% reliability of equipment integrity and operational functionality.� The NIH Information Security Program maintains an extensive amount of hardware in support of required tool sets across the environment. �This supports multiple requirements including those by the Department of Homeland Security�s (DHS) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program, Health and Human Services (HHS) initiatives, and the NIH Information Security Modernization Program.� Maintenance includes onsite resolution, repairs, same and next day parts, and other technical support.� It�s critical to maintain consistency and vendor warranties for the hardware for ease of management and ability to support quick resolution of hardware errors/outages.� The Period of Performance is for twelve (12) months. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.� However, any party that believes it can meet the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that an award will be issued within approximately seven (7) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement.
